The design is rooted in the functional readability of historic military and flight instruments. Bold luminous Arabic numerals, luminous hands, a triangle at 12 o’clock, a precise outer minutes track, and three balanced chronograph registers make this Spitfire immediately recognizable. At 3 o’clock, the day and date display adds everyday practicality without compromising the dial’s purposeful, cockpit-inspired layout.
Inside is IWC’s manufacture caliber 69380, a self-winding column-wheel chronograph movement with approximately 46 hours of power reserve. The movement controls elapsed seconds, minutes, and hours through the chronograph system while also providing running small seconds, date, and weekday indication.
